Early years
Paweł Werakso and Robert Noga before leaving to Cameroon never thought about establishing the Foundation. Earlier, in 2006 one of the founders joined THE ADOPTION OF HEART . When in January 2009, they went to Africa as an e-missionaries, they already represented a group of friends involved in the adoption of Heart and caring for Polish missions. They took with them the private means to support the missionaries' difficult activities. They accompanied Sisters and priests working in dioceses Doume in their daily ministry among the poorest of the tribe Maka. In a special way thay attached to children from kindergarten and elementary school St. Therese of the Child Jesus and pupils from the Oratory of St.Michael the Archangel in Nguelemendouka. Visiting the children’s families they supported them materially, by purchasing basic survival products such as flour, rice, salt, pasta, and personal hygiene items such as soap, toothbrushes, towels. They gave their clothes and mattresses from their beds to several families.
For Michalitki Sisters they handed gifts to expand a new home for orphans and bought an LCD TV for the school.
When they returned do Poland, after receiving the first letters of words of gratitude and requests for further assistance, mainly from children and families, they decided to create a foundation to try to meet some of the needs. To give a formal shape of their action they founded the AFRICAN CHILDREN FUNDATION.
